Essential Information Regarding the Certification
Label

For telecom and wireless products that are DJID certified, it is required to display the DJID label on both the product and its packaging. The label includes three key components:
All three components must be affixed to both the product and its packaging. If the product is too small to fit the label, it is allowed to place it only on the packaging.
FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions and their answers to help you understand the process better.
What documents are required to obtain DJID Type Approval?
The required documents to be submitted include the product specification, product photos, a self-conformity declaration letter, an MOU or distributor agreement (between the certificate holder or applicant and the brand owner), as well as RF, EMC, Laser Safety (for products with optical interfaces), and Electrical Safety Test Reports.
Who should be the applicant for the Indonesia DJID Approval Certification – the manufacturer or the importer?
The certificate holder must be a local company registered in Indonesia. This can be a distributor, importer, or brand representative.
Is local testing required for DJID Certification?
Local testing for RF, EMC, and Electrical Safety is optional, especially if the product already has test reports issued by a DJID-recognized international testing laboratory. However, testing for Laser Safety and SAR must be conducted at a local lab in Indonesia.
What are the sample requirements for testing?
For EMC and Electrical Safety testing, the required samples are regular commercial products. For RF testing, especially for products with radio frequencies of 920 MHz and above, the testing lab typically requests a sample with an RF cable attached to the RF module and test software. For products with radio frequencies below 920 MHz, a regular or radiated sample is usually requested. For SAR testing, radiated samples with test software are required. For Laser Safety testing, we need one host device (such as a switch or router) along with one pair of compatible SFP transceivers.
How can I obtain the Type Approval certificate with paperwork?
The paperwork or document evaluation can be processed if the product has RF, EMC, and Electrical Safety test reports issued by an overseas lab recognized by DJID. All other required documents must still be submitted as well.
What is the lead time for obtaining the Indonesia DJID Type Approval and Certification?
The lead time for Type Approval through the local testing approach is approximately 5 weeks. However, if applying through paperwork, the process typically takes about 1 week.
How long is the validity of the Indonesia DJID Certificate?
The validity of the DJID Certificate is 3 years from the issuance date. If the product continues to be manufactured, assembled, or imported for use or sale in Indonesia after 3 years, it must undergo recertification. However, if the product is no longer being manufactured, assembled, or imported for the Indonesian market, recertification is not required. Existing stock in Indonesia can still use the original certification until it is sold out.
What are the requirements for the DJID Certification label?
The DJID Certification label consists of three essential components: the certificate number and PLG ID (identity), a QR code, and a warning sign. All three components must be affixed to both the product and its packaging. If the product is too small to accommodate the label, it is acceptable to affix it only to the packaging.
